Helping You To Lose Weight
I'm planning on losing 10lbs which will be awesome!! Have any of you tried this b4 and how did you do it, or what prevented you from doing it?
OK, so I already diet pretty healthy. High protein, low fat, and moderate carbs. I lift weights a couple times a week, and get my cardio from playing sports a couple times a week. However I still have a little bit of excess fat, maybe about 5 pounds, covering my abs. And its been there for years, so I'm looking for a supplement that will help give me a boost in loosing it. I've been trying fat burners recently such as lipo 6 and hot rox, but haven't noticed any difference.
These are the ones I'm considering right now.
1) Taking Omega-3 supplement pills (I doubt I get much omega 3 daily, and I heard it helps burn fat)
2) Taking cortizone blockers (don't know much about them)
3) Taking estrogen blockers (know nothing about them, or any possible side effects, or if they are worth it).
I'm planning on using Animal PAK vitamins as soon as they come in the mail, they contain omega 3's and l-carnitine, and other stuff. Know if they help with fat loss? Or have any other ideas for me?
When I said cortizone blockers, I meant cortisol blockers.
I also heard of 2 other types....Topical creams (have searched and searched for scientific proof these work, but find nothing). And also thyroid boosters (which I don't know anything about, but perhaps they might help considering my belly fat might be a fight against genetics, since my parents are fat)
how much weight would i lose after my pregnancy
I am 15 years old and weigh 311 pounds, my height is 5' 10
I have tried dieting, and it is working. but I just get soo impatient!!!
I never want to go to school and I suffer from Major Depression Disorder and Social Anxiety and some blood pressure disorder which im not being treated for.
I wanted to know if it is okay for me to atleast have a lap band surgery?
Some doctors say its okay but others say its not, if I can what site can I go to to find a specific doctor?
No people!
im not talking about bypass surgery, im talking about the LAP BAND surgery
Nothing is being cut, only a special band is being place on my stomach. My mom says she supports me if I go throught it.
I also already lost 14 pounds since February,
but I get soo frustrated!! it seems like its soo little loss, and I don't even notice a change in my pants, yes they feel looser, but my t-shirt size is sooo frustrating!
I already tried killing myself 3 times,
Well, I'm doing a case study on menu planning. My case study has a family who has a diabetic, and an athlete. Obviously, the athlete needs to consume extra carbs, but how could I accompany this with a diabetic who cannot consume as much carbs in order to avoid high blood pressure?

Hi,
I plan on doing 5 to 6 miles each day (I know that seems ambitious, but I'm really committed). My plan is to do a jog/run combo where I do a light jog for awhile and whenever I feel like it, I start walking, then start up jogging again, just based on when I feel tired or when I get another wind.
So, is this a good technique or am I basically just wasting my time? Would I be better off doing a full jog for less distance (in other words, jog say, 3 miles without walking)?
Thanks to you all for your input.
I worded that wrong. I know you have to diet whenever you have a weight loss surgery. What I want to know is at what weight should you consider the surgery?
The person in question is 5 foot 3 and weighs 220 pounds. She thinks she needs the surgery. I think she can loose it without it.
I am 19 years old and have been 25kg overweight. I have tried to lose the weight for ages but only in the past 6 weeks have i managed to stick to a programme and i have lost 10kg. I know it is very quick, it has just seemed to fall off me like this. The rate of weight loss has now slowed down to a slower rate. My problem is that i have not had my period as usual. I have a very regular cycle. This is bothering me as it feels very unnatural.I am still overweight, as i still have 15kg to lose. When can i expect my period to return? i am having PMS symptoms but no period.
My best friend is getting married in August and I'm a bridesmaid. I want to try to lose some weight before then. Right now I'm 5'7, 170 pounds (approximate). I was thinking of trying pilates along with diet. Does anybody have any other suggestions for weight loss? For me its worst in my stomach, butt, thighs, and arms.
? - Is there something specific to that product that will help me lose the weight? Because I have an entire tin of green tea in a cabinet in my kitchen.
besides breastfeeding..what are some other helpful remedies
I've been doing so well with this gestational diabetes diet that I've grown a little bored testing. But today (I'm 36 weeks and two days pregnant), I had a small lunch OUT at a restaurant, where I didn't really know exactly how many carbs I consumed. Probably too many carbs and not enough protein. My one-hour-post-lunch test is supposed to be less than 140, per my doctor, but it came back high: 159. Opps. So I had a bad lunch after all. But after two hours, I tested again, and it was 175! 120, I am told, is what the max should be after two hours. What should my level be after three hours? Everything I find online gives the levels for the three-hour glucose screening test. This is just a regular after-meal test, three hours later instead of one or two.
I failed my glucose screening test primarily because my sugar after two hours went higher when it should have gone lower. But I don't want to have my afternoon snack before my blood sugar comes back to a level where it should.
I am on a weight loss plan to shed about 35 pounds this year. Will drinking a cup of coffee every day slow down my weight loss? I assume that it would be better to use low-fat and low-sugra sweeteners. Any ideas?
If you finance the surgery through a bank, can you still get the tax deduction? And how do you do it? Do I save receipts, and get an accountant?
I have no insurance and my life depends on this surgery, and with the government allowing WLS as a tax deduction over 7.5% of annual income, it seems like my only feasible option.
Any insight into this is appreciated.
im 17 & have less than 2 months left of pregnancy and b4 i weighed 120lbs and now im about 138. my body was pretty good before i got preg so will it be hard to get back to my normal weight? and will my body ever look like it did?

I take ramipril capsules and ciprofibrate for cholesteral
is it more difficult to lose weight after having a baby than it was before? how long does it take to lose all of the pregnancy weight? after you lose all the pregnancy weight is it really difficult to continue losing weight (to weigh less that you did before you were pregnant)? I'm really scared that I won't be able to lose all of the pregnancy weight. Thanks.
I am a male. I weigh 255lbs. My height is 5'8". I have been doing the six week make over program. I had previously done weightwatchers and I lost 68Lbs. I started eating again though because I would feel spaced out and weak at times. I had absolutely no energy. I would check my blood sugar and noticed it would be around 85-99 when I would feel this way. If I would eat something that had a lot of sugar or a high carbohydrate food I would feel better within about 10 minutes. Unfortunately eating these types of foods cause my weight to come back. I have even tried eating 6 small meals a day and by my second meal going into my third I am feeling terrible.
I need any advice I can get. I don't want to use any type of quick fix, diet pills, or fast weight-loss gimmicks. I want to be able to lose weight and keep it off.
The only thing I have done and been able to keep my weight off for a long period of time is counting calories. I got to about 239Lbs. and my weight stalled and then started to increase.
Thank You in advance for your assistance.
Please tell me what type of surgery you had (band, gastric bypass, etc.), plus the pros and cons, if you would. I would be so grateful! Thank you =)
I'm overweight thanks to inactivity. I was in a car wreck three years ago and had limited mobiliity for 8 months causing fat gain/muscle loss. I am very determined to get this off, and have lost 40 lbs since March by increasing activity.
I'm a vegetarian but I do get enough protein (FYI, for those who may say MORE PROTEIN)
I have a very low natural testosterone level so I inject weekly with prescribed Depo-Testosterone. This causes my levels to spike to above average levels. Since starting the hormones, I have noticed a lot of growth in my leg and arm/shoulder muscles.
Currently, I do 20-30 min of cardio 5-6 days a week and do light lifting for 15 min every other day and heavier lifting for 15 min the other days.
My goal is to lose another 30 lbs of fat but gain muscle as well. At my current weight 30lbs of fat loss would put me at an ideal size for my frame. Thankfully the Testosterone makes this a more possible goal than if I were not on the injections
So what do people recommend for good fat loss/muscle growth exercise and diet wise? I'm open to all suggestions. I'm very serious on doing this the right way to better my overall quality of life and boost my self esteem.
Note: I'm also on prescribed amphetamines for my ADHD so I get bursts of energy in the morning and mid afternoon.
i have a 7week old baby boy and need to lose 15 pounds so i need advice on weightloss
