I just recently upped my workout routine and was wondering when I would see the fat loss (assuming I am doing everthing correctly, diet, workout plan, etc) Is there some kind of delay on fat loss, or, say if you lost 1/4 pound in a day, would you actually see it?

such as gastric bypass and the lap band. Personally, i think they are just medically-induced anorexia. It completely deprives your body of the nutrients it needs. sure, it works quickly, but eventually, you'll just keep getting skinnier because you can't build any muscle. or, you'll hit a plateau, and gain back all the weight.

if you've had it, i'm not trying to judge you. tell me why you like it so much and how it's benefited your life.
it drives me nuts when people just jump into the surgery, without even attempting to workout or lose the weight on your own. what i've found from talking to people is that most of them eat worse now that they've had the surgery. because they crave the junk, then they don't have room for anything healthy.

Diabetes diet confusion?

I dont think i have diabetes, but i want to prevent it, however Im receiving so many different answers from different sources. Im i supposed to avoid carbs? if so, why do some diabetes sites tell me to eat carby foods like bread and beans? Im basically wondering if white rice is bad, would another type of rice be good? beans are ok? they have lots of carbs though. i thought bran was good since it has fiber, but then i read it has carbs?? im so confused, the only food i know for sure is bad is white sugar, please help!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Wouldn't just eating the special diet shrink ones stomach over time and aid in weightloss? I know bypass moves the intestines around bit it's such major surgery. Why risk it when just eating and following the long term post op diet plan with a nutritionist would produce same results at the same time?

Help with this math problem please!!!?

I am a vegetarian, and I am trying to lose weight the healthy way. I am overweight and I need to burn fat. Can someone please help me?

Breakfast
Lunch
Dinner.

I only drink water and diet green tea.
I just really want to lose weight!

Also, any exercise plans or routines would be appreciated too!

I dont expect to lose any weight within this week - I am already on a diet/exercise plan...I just want to reduce bloating and look the best I can before my event. I should cut out white carbs, sugar, oil, butter, etc and drink a lot of water...what else? How can I maximize my gym time? More strength training and less cardio to tone up or vice versa to lean up a little?

Exercising everyday and eating less and healthier has not worked at all.

I used to be 5'2" and 120 lbs two years ago. I'm fairly muscular, so I usually look 5 lbs less than what I actually weigh (from other people's observations.) I now weigh 135.

Over the years, I started eating fast food and junk. Some days I would stress out and overeat. This has become a problem to where now I can eat a massive amount in one sitting...and now I feel much hungrier than usual and a small amount of food will no longer satisfy me.

For example...we went to a movie and I ate one bratwurst, two small bags of candy, and a small popcorn along with two beef jerkies and some chips and dip all in one sitting!!!!!

I tried veggies/fruit...doesn't work. Not satisfying. I eat protein, and that works very well...for a little while. But then an hour later I am hungry again. If I eat a huge amount, then I'm fine for a while.

But this is keeping me from losing weight! Even though I am eating healthier, I am actually gaining weight because of eating so much!

How do I get used to the feeling of hunger so I can reduce my portion sizes? Will my stomach shrink back eventually?

Like I said I tried water, I tried high fiber foods...but my body wants huge portion sizes to feel satiated. I need to lose weight for my wedding so I can feel good about myself again.

I'm 15, 5'5" and 225 pounds my goal is 195 by the end of this year.My BMI is 36%. I wake up at 5 o'clock in the morning to go jogging, come home, work out on one muscle a day, and go to school, come home and workout some more. I been doing this exercise plan for about 3 days.

Diet
Breakfast: A fruit and yogurt
Lunch: Deli Sandwich containing Turkey, Lettuce, Tomato, and Onions
Dinner: A Large serving of food and vegetables

How can i lose weight before wedding?

Ok so i really want to lose weight as quickly as possible because i am getting married soon, so heres the kicker, I want to lose weight quickly but i don't want to gain it all back as soon as i eat something. I am 18 yrs old, 5'31/2 and 120lbs. I want to lose 10lbs as quickly as possible. what is the fastest way to do so and how can i keep it off? I was thinking of going on a 100 cal a day fast until i lost 10lbs and the slowly increasing my caloric intake. And no i am not anorexic or weird about food or anything, i just really want to fit in to my mother's wedding dress and won't be able to unless i drop 10lbs.t

i'm starting a new workout plan where i swim laps for an hour, about 4-5 days a week, and im wondering how long it will take for me to see toning/fat loss in my leg/ab area. like inner thighs, abs and obliques. i will also be doing alot of other ab work out legn work like squats, lunges, situps, side bends, etc. during the week. with a proper diet, how long should it be until i see a little bit of results?
