How can i lose weight before my BFF's wedding?

Im wondering how i can lose some weight for my best friends wedding. Her wedding is in 9 months but the dress fittings are in 4. i have a bit of a stomach because i had a baby 5 months ago and i would like to get rid of that too. Any suggestions?

I had to lose weight to get into Basic Military Training. I guarantee that if you run a mile a day keep your calorie intake for the day down to 2000 then you will lose the weight. A good meal for losing weight and still having energy is tuna on saltless crackers and an apple. You probably only have about 20-30 pounds to lose to get to where you were before you got pregnant, so you shouldn’t have to restrict your diet too much. Just use common sense with food.
Start eating as healthy as possible if you are not already. Swap sugar for a sweetner, try to consume more protein and vegetables than you are carbs. Find healthy meals that you like, so it doesn’t feel like a chore. It is much easier (and better for you) just to make the right choices with food, rather than counting calories and eating hardly anything because you ate a huge bar of chocolate. Don’t be harsh on yourself if you do slip up, but if you want a treat just make sure your portion is small.
Find some kind of exercise that you like that gets your heart pumping. Running, cycling, swimming, aerobics – some kind of DVD is fine. Try to do at least 30mins 3 – 4 times a week. Then try to fit in some toning exercises – if you type 8 minute abs in on youtube, you’ll find a very retro but very good video that you can do, and quickly. You can choose how often you do this, depending on how sore you are, and how you feel, although I’d say 3 – 4 times a week would be good here too. There are also other 8 minute workouts on there from the same video that you can do if you want to tone up all over. Just remember that it is physically impossible to reduce the fat in one area, however, toning exercises for your core will help speed up the process in that area.
Finally, don’t use weight as your measure. You are likely going to gain muscle by working your abs, therefore the muscle gained may cancel out the weight lost on the scale.
